The 2021 world rowing champions Oleg KUKHARIK, Dmytro DANYLENKO and Ivan SEMIKIN, as part of the initiative of the "Olympic Circle" charity fund, handed over grocery sets, cocoa drink "Nesquik" and Olympic souvenirs to the children of Mykolaiv Oblast.
CHAMPIONS CHARITY MISSION
The charity mission started in Mykolaiv, where the athletes together with the employees of the foundation loaded 82 grocery sets and the same number of boxes of Nesquik, which children love so much.
Here are our words of thanks to our friends:
BF "Ukrainian Federation of Food Banks" (food kits) and
the humanitarian headquarters of the NOC of Ukraine, headed by Olympic bronze medalist Olena GOVOROVA.
Further to the region. Transfer - Voskresensk - Kalynivka - Bashtanka. This was the route of the "Olympic Circle" charity voyage.
First, the Peresadivskyi Lyceum, where the winners of regional sports games and young football players study (there is a section on this type of sport), then the library of the city of Voskresenska, where the students of the local lyceum gathered, the third point - Kalynivka, where the jiu-jitsu section works successfully, and the final location is Bashtanka, the birthplace of the world champion Oleh KUKHARIK. Here he was born and took his first steps - under the leadership of Oleksandr VASYUNKIN, at the local DYSSH.
In each location, we saw the smiles of small residents of the Mykolayiv region, who were infinitely grateful to our titled rowers. Probably, they did not immediately understand who came to them. And among the guests was two-time Olympic champion Yuriy Cheban - one of the founders of the "Olympic Circle" BF.
At each of the locations, the athletes handed out many autographs to children who had to wait in long lines for this. And in Voskresensk, famous athletes also signed the flag of Ukraine. This is how it turned out a little training before the Olympic Games, where we want the boys to qualify - the license championship already in August, in Duisburg.
PROJECT NOK UKRAINE
By the way, the "Chat with Olympians" section of the popular #OlympicLab project "Chat with Olympians" was held in Bashtanka with the joint efforts of the NOC branches of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Honored masters of sports of Ukraine talked about how they started rowing classes, thanks to which qualities they achieved success, gave instructions to young athletes. All of them unanimously noted that their main goal is to get to the 2024 Olympic Games, and in case of participation, of course, to win medals.
